Purchasing/exchanging gas bottles

Ouvir

Sellers are required to exchange LPG bottles at the time of sale and must receive an equivalent used bottle, regardless of the brand.

There is no charge for taking back used bottles or a deposit on the sale of full bottles, since the provided bottles are the same number.

If you want to change the type of gas used in your stove, you must first replace the stove injectors.

If you want to switch supplier, you may need to buy new reducers.

The installation of gas bottles in your home must be carried out by specialised technicians, professionals recognised by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

Consult the Bottle Exchange Guide to help you with the exchange process and ERSE’s Safety Recommendations and Tips to help you use gas bottles more safely.
