What I need to know about supply cut-off
Failure to pay an invoice may be grounds for supply cut-off.
Before your supply can be cut off for non-payment, your supplier is required to give you a 20 days’ notice in writing. The notice must tell you the reasons for the disconnection, how you can avoid it and the cost of disconnecting and restoring your supply.
If the service is cut off, you should contact your supplier and ask for information on how to make the outstanding payment. You can ask to pay in instalments.
