Bulletins

As part of the activity of following up and monitoring the liberalised market, characterising the market evolution, particularly as regards the number of customers and energy consumption, bears a special interest. In order to contribute towards more transparent access to information, ERSE publishes a monthly bulletin that focuses on these issues.

As part of the activity of following up and monitoring the electricity retail market, ERSE collects information on prices of commercial offers made available by several suppliers. In order to contribute towards greater and better access to information, ERSE publishes a quarterly bulletin that focuses on this issue.

As part of the activity of following up and monitoring the behaviour of fuel markets, ERSE follows the evolution of prices on international markets for commodities which influence electricity and natural gas prices in Portugal. In order to contribute towards greater and better access to information, ERSE publishes a quarterly bulletin that focuses on this issue.

As part of the activity of monitoring Portuguese and world financial developments, ERSE follows the changes of main financial indicators (such as the Euribor rate and the yields of treasury bonds) which have an impact on regulated companies’ allowed revenues and, therefore, on electricity and natural gas prices. In order to contribute towards greater and better access to information, ERSE publishes a quarterly bulletin that focuses on these issues.

In order to contribute towards more transparent access to information, ERSE publishes a bulletin that focuses on these issues.

ERSE publishes every six months a bulletin comparing energy prices in Portugal with those in European Union countries. In these newsletters, the electricity and natural gas prices in Portugal that are compared with those in European Union (EU) countries concern the most representative consumers.

Price statistics in European Union countries are released by Eurostat. Eurostat releases both prices and their components, which provides greater transparency. Statistics collected by Eurostat on energy can be found in the energy database (in English, German or French). Each semester, Eurostat publishes summary articles on energy prices in the European Union:
