Fuels Council
The Fuels Council provides a specific forum for consultation on the performance of duties assigned to ERSE in the scope of the sectors of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in all its categories, namely bottled, piped or bulk LPG, as well as of petroleum-derived fuels and biofuels. It is incumbent on the Fuels Council, meeting in plenary, to deliver (non-binding) opinions on issues that are common to these sectors, in particular of a regulatory nature, that are submitted to it by the Board of Directors.
It is a collegiate body, composed by the members provided for in article 44-B of ERSE’s Statutes, appointed in accordance with the rules established in Regulation 628/2019, of 9 August, for a renewable three-year term of office.
The plenary and sections of the Fuels Council (liquefied petroleum gas sector section and petroleum-derived fuel and biofuel section) are chaired by a person of recognized standing and independence appointed by the member of the government responsible for energy.
