On 3rd June 2025, ERSE – the Energy Services Regulatory Authority – held an information session on electricity costs for industrial customers, in partnership with AIDA CCI – the Aveiro District Chamber of Commerce and Industry – and AEA/ACOAG – the Águeda Business Association.
The initiative, which took place in Aveiro, brought together around 70 participants and aimed primarily to answer questions raised by companies, particularly on measures to optimise electricity costs.
The information session, which was opened by the President of the Aveiro District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fernando Castro, was attended by five ERSE staff members: André Rocha, from the Finance and Economics Department, David Oliveira, from the Markets and Competition Department, Patrícia Lages, from the Tariffs, Prices and Energy Efficiency Department, Paulo Oliveira, from the Infrastructure and Networks Department, and Pedro Costa, from the Energy Consumers Department.
Topics such as the value chain of the electricity sector, the main factors behind electricity price trends, the contractual terms of electricity supply contracts and the presentation of solutions to reduce energy bills were discussed.
These sessions are part of the ERSEForma Programme, created by ERSE with the aim of increasing energy literacy among various target audiences.
