ERSE signs cooperation protocol with the Confederation of Portuguese Farmers

21/09/2023

ERSE - the Energy Services Regulatory Authority - signed a cooperation protocol with CAP – the Confederation of Portuguese Farmers - in Lisbon on 21 September.

The aim of the initiative is to promote the dissemination of information and training in the field of energy to the agricultural sector through the member farmers’ organisations of the CAP and their associates, while at the same time enabling ERSE to obtain information on the specific needs of farmers with a view to deepening knowledge and improving ERSE’s performance as a regulator.

Information and training activities are planned for CAP members, as well as seminars open to the general public. Surveys of CAP members are also due to be carried out.

One of the objectives of ERSE’s Strategic Plan for the 2023-2027 period is to promote consumer energy literacy, in line with the efforts made in recent years to reach new audiences through partnerships with various organisations.
ERSE advocates that better-informed consumers find better commercial solutions and also contribute to the decarbonisation of the energy sector.
