ERSE participated in the GNR's ‘Comércio Seguro 2025’ operation in Alcácer do Sal

On 10 December 2025, the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) joined another Operation 'Comércio Seguro 2025' initiative promoted by the Alcácer do Sal detachment of the National Republican Guard (GNR) among traders in the riverside area of this Alentejo city.
Operation 'Comércio Seguro 2025', running from 24 November to 31 December 2025, aims to raise awareness and increase patrols in commercial areas. The campaign seeks to remind people of self-protection procedures in the event of theft, robbery, serious threats or vandalism. This will help to strengthen the sense of security among shopkeepers and customers.
As part of its partnership with the GNR, ERSE has joined this initiative by distributing a leaflet containing alerts aimed at increasing the energy literacy of traders and consumers in general. The aim is to enable them to make more informed decisions and identify any abusive or unfair practices.

The cooperation protocol between ERSE and the GNR, formalised in 2021, aims to develop joint actions and initiatives to combat energy illiteracy and to identify abusive or unfair practices by energy market agents towards consumers, particularly the most vulnerable.
Alongside the 'Comércio Seguro' operation, ERSE and GNR collaborate annually on the 'Censos Sénior' and 'Escola Segura' operations, targeting the elderly population and the school community, respectively.
