ERSE – the Energy Services Regulatory Authority – today launched a Public Consultation on the Procedures Manual for the registration and bilateral contracting of electricity (MP PPA).

The aim is to discuss and approve the registration and bilateral contracting of electricity, commonly known as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).

On the other hand, the MP PPA sets out the operational regulatory content to which the aforementioned registration and bilateral energy contracting activity is subject, as well as the role of OMIP S.A., the Managing Entity of the PPA registration and trading platform.

The proposal, which is now open for public consultation, was submitted to ERSE by the managing entity of the PPA registration and trading platform.

Comments from all interested parties are welcome until 20 June 2025.
