ERSE - the Energy Services Regulatory Authority will hold a conference on “Electricity Sector Market Design”, on 7 June 2022, between 9am and 1.30pm, at Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon.

The event, part of a series of initiatives under the theme “Energy Transition and Markets - Portugal | Brazil 2022”, is jointly organised by ERSE, the Electricity Sector Study Group of  Instituto de Economia of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, of Universidade de Lisboa.

This conference will analyse Brazil’s and Portugal’s vision on this issue, based on a wide range of speakers from both countries. The event will be opened by the Portuguese Secretary of State for the Environment and Energy, João Galamba, and by the Brazilian Ambassador to Portugal, Raimundo Carreiro.

In order to promote permanent reflection on the challenges facing the energy sector, ERSE signed cooperation protocols with GESEL/UFRJ and ISEG/UL in March 2018 and October 2020, respectively.

The deadline for applications is 2 June 2022.
