ERSE hosts ConvERSE on “Decentralisation and Flexibility: emerging local energy markets”

ERSE – the Energy Services Regulatory Authority - is organising another ConvERSE initiative on 13 April 2023 to discuss “Decentralisation and Flexibility: emerging local energy markets”.
The challenges and opportunities of creating local energy markets will be analysed. This is one of the points included in the future Regulatory Review of the Electricity Sector, which will bring into effect the provisions of Decree-Law No 15/2022, of 14 January.
In terms of planning, the use of this new concept is regarded as a possible alternative to traditional investment in electricity grids, whenever the flexibility services provided by distributed energy resources are feasible, whether for production, consumption or autonomous storage.
ERSE invites all interested parties to participate in this event, which will take place between 9.30am and 1pm, in a hybrid format (onsite and online).
