ERSE, as the Portuguese Energy Regulatory Authority, is member of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) and of the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).

CEER is a Belgian not-for-profit association set up by the regulators themselves and was established in 2000 for the cooperation of the independent energy regulators of Europe. Portugal was a founding member and chaired it until 2005.

ACER is a formal EU Agency established by the Regulation (EC) No. 713/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 July of 2009 and was fully operational from March 2011 onwards.

In the following links is possible to find relevant information regarding ERSE’s activities in the European Union.

In annex there is the Third Legislative Package published in 2009 regarding the Energy Internal Market.
