Tariff Board 

The Tariff Board is a specific advisory body that advises ERSE on tariff and pricing-related matters. It is responsible for issuing opinions on the approval and revision of tariff regulations as well as the definition of tariffs and pricing.

The Tariff Board has two sections: one for the electricity sector and one for the natural gas sector. The electricity section is composed of the representatives indicated in a), b), c), g), i) and j) below, as well as the representatives of the electricity companies and consumers of the Autonomous Regions. The natural gas section is composed of the representatives indicated in d), e), f), h), i) and j) below.

The Tariff Board and its two sections are chaired by the representative of the Consumer Institute, and its members are:
a) One representative of the Consumer Institute (Chairman of the Tariff Board).
b) One representative of the entity holding a concession for the national electricity transmission grid.
c) One representative of the entity holding a binding HV and MV electricity distribution licence.
d) One representative of the entities holding binding LV electricity distribution licences.
e) One representative of the entity holding the natural gas transmission concession for the high-pressure network.
f) One representative of the entities holding regional natural gas distribution concessions.
g) One representative of the entities licensed for public service gas distribution.
h) One representative of the non-binding electricity customers.
i) One representative of large industrial consumers of natural gas.
j) Three representatives of consumer protection associations representing consumers in general, pursuant to Law no. 24/96 of 31 July.
k) One representative of the electricity system companies of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
l) One representative of the electricity system companies of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
m) One representative of consumers of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
n) One representative of consumers of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
o) One representative of the National Association of Municipalities.
