ERSE submits PDIRD-E 2024 proposal to public consultation

ERSE - Energy Services Regulatory Authority has submitted today for public consultation the proposal for the Development and Investment Plan for the National Electricity Distribution Network for the period 2026-2030 (PDIRD-E 2024), drawn up by the operator of the National Electricity Distribution Network (DSO).
Under the terms of articles 129 and 130 of Decree-Law 15/2022 of 14 January, whose provisions apply to the procedures for reviewing, amending and updating the PDIRD-E, the DSO must review the PDIRD-E every five years, submitting the respective proposal to the DGEG and ERSE.
Thus, in the 2024 PDIRD-E proposal, which is now being submitted for public consultation, the DSO proposes an overall amount of 1 607.6 million euros to be invested in the five-year period 2026-2030.
Based on the results of the public consultation, ERSE will issue a non-binding opinion, which may recommend changes to the PDIRD E 2024 proposal submitted by the DSO. The member of the Government responsible for the energy sector is responsible for approving the respective proposal.
Comments are requested from all interested parties by 3 January 2025.
