ERSE launches Public Consultation on the Investment Plan for the HV and MV Transmission and Distribution Network in the Autonomous Region of Madeira
22/09/2021
ERSE - Energy Services Regulatory Authority is putting, for the first time, under Public Consultation, the proposal of the Development and Investment Plan in Transmission and Distribution Network in High Voltage and Medium Voltage of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (PDIRTD-RAM), prepared by the Electricity Company of Madeira. Under analysis is a total of 65.1 million euros, for the period 2022 to 2024.
The Access to Networks and Interconnections Regulation (RARI), in its current wording, establishes that, every 3 years, the network operators of each of the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira, in the year prior to the start of the regulatory period, must submit, for ERSE's approval, a single document on the investment projects they intend to carry out over the next 3 years in the respective transmission and distribution networks.
In this sense, Madeira Electricity Company, as operator of the HV and MV networks in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, presented to ERSE its proposal for PDIRTD-RAM, which is now submitted to Public Consultation. The company proposes an overall amount of 65.1 million euros for the 2022-2024 time horizon.
Based on the results of the public consultation, ERSE will issue a binding opinion, including recommendations for improvement and changes to the PDIRTD-RAM proposal presented.
The public consultation will last for 30 days, and comments are requested from all interested parties until November 5, 2021.
