  • Fuels Board 

    The fuels board is the specific advisory body for ERSE functions within the sectors of oil fuels, biofuels and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in all its categories, including bottled, piped and bulk.
    Meeting in plenary, the fuels board aim is to give insights on matters common to the sectors of LPG, oil-based fuels and biofuels, particularly those of a regulatory nature, submitted to it by the board of directors.

    The fuels board also comprises two sections, each representing different sectors:
    • Oil-based fuels and biofuels and,
    • Liquefied petroleum gas

    It is for each section, to decide upon the following matters:

    • Proposals for agreement or amendment of the regulations which issuance is ERSE’s responsibility;
    • Proposals for opinions within ERSE's competence and that the board of directors intend to submit to it;

    Other matters related to the sectors referred to above, submitted to it by the board of directors.
    The opinions of the fuels board are approved by majority vote and are not binding, being advertised by ERSE on its website as well as by other means deemed appropriate.

    The fuels board meets at least once a year, convened by its chairperson. Extraordinary, it shall meet at the request of at least one third of its members or at the request of the chairperson of the board of directors.
